This client had a large outdoor patio with no natural shade and wanted a solution that combined both style and functionality. We had the opportunity to collaborate with local influencer Mar Jennings, known for his appearance on the TV show Life on Mars, where this installation was featured in a makeover episode. It was an exciting collaboration that also allowed us to connect more deeply with the Westport community.
The homeowners envisioned a pergola system that would provide adjustable shade while still allowing natural sunlight to filter through. To achieve this, we installed a motorized pergola with custom classic-style end caps. These details gave the structure a timeless look that blends seamlessly with the home’s design, while still offering the modern convenience of motorized functionality.
